Suzhou Gate-sea Microelectronics Technology Co., Ltd. Rapid Shutdown Signal Generator, used in conjunction with GATE-SEA Intelligent Rapid Shutdown Device (RSD), is the core component of Rapid Shutdown System solution. When Rapid Shutdown Signal Generator is powered up and the Emergency Switch is kept on, Rapid Shutdown Signal Generator sends a “System Activation Signal” to RSD output loops, which turns RSD on and maintains the PV module connection and energy output. When the Rapid Shutdown Signal Generator is switched off, the RSD automatically enters Rapid Shutdown mode. When the Rapid Shutdown Signal Generator is activated again, the PV system resumes electrical energy production.
Suzhou Gate-sea Microelectronics Technology Co., Ltd. Rapid Shutdown Solution complies with the NEC 2017&2020 (690.12) specifications, as well as SunSpec Rapid Shutdown protocol. It can be optionally equipped with one or two magnetic rings to work with it. Optional 85-264VAC and 180-550VAC power supplies are also available, 85-264VAC power for residential and 180-550VAC power for commercial.
The input of the shutdown device is connected to the PV panel and the output is cascaded to form a PV string system. The signal coupler of the PLC transmitter is placed in the busbar circuit of the string to send control signals. For safety reasons, please do not turn on the PLC transmitter during installation to prevent the risk of electric shock!
*The magnet ring is available in line lengths of 150mm, 180mm, 300mm, and 600mm.
