GS-RSD-80-20D is the core device of Suzhou Gate-sea Microelectronics Technology Co., Ltd. Rapid Shutdown Solution, which can be cascaded and connected with individual modules to realize the group-level rapid shutdown function, and achieve the requirements and purposes of safe and stable operation of PV power generation system. GS-RSD-80-20D adopts SunSpec special baseband chip, with low loss, high efficiency, stability and reliability, meeting the requirements of NEC2017, NEC2020 and SunSpec certification, which can effectively ensure the safe operation of PV system.

Once the system is installed, GS-RSS transmitter sends a “Permission to Operate” signal via PLC power carrier to the output circuit of shutdown device. Upon receiving the signal, the shutdown device turns on the output power to the PV system. In case of emergency, rapid shutdown of the module can be accomplished by simply disconnecting power to the transmitter or activating an external emergency stop switch. The shutdown device will shut down the PV system within the time specified in the system protocol and bring the voltage of the entire string system to within 30V. The GS-RSD-80-20D in the shutdown state will output 1V@10mA of system indication power.

The input of the shutdown device is connected to the PV panel and the output is cascaded to form a PV string system. The signal coupler of the PLC transmitter is placed in the busbar circuit of the string to send control signals. For safety reasons, please do not turn on the PLC transmitter during installation.
